Sumac Bushes
An innovative product to super detail your layouts, dioramas or other models.
Each sheet contains enough sumac branch materials to make 12 small or 6 larger sumac bushes. You can make a bigger sumac tree by using floral wire to make a truck.
The bushes are pre-painted and easy to assemble with the supplied floral wire. Cut a small piece of wire to use as the main stem. Then add a cluster of sumac from the sheet to the wire. A drop of CAA will hold it in place. Shape the sumac as desired and use another drop of CAA to hold the desired shape. Touch up the paint and insert in the scenery.
You can make bigger sumac bushes by uses multiple clusters on the same wire. Or make even bigger trees by making multiple branches with longer pieces of wire.
Railroads and sumac go together like soup and sandwich. Railroads would plant sumac to stabilize soil on new cuts. Sumac is ubiquitous - it is native to all 48 continental states.
The sheets come painted in summer colors of bright green. If you are modeling the fall, these plants turn bright. You can spray them a dark red color to make a dramatic focal point on your layout.
The seed pods turn red as fall approaches. You can simulate that by dipping the wire into matt medium and then applying some ground foam in the appropriate color.
